In this live, 2-hour masterclass, we are going to spend time together to prepare a no-churn ice cream (no ice cream machine needed, so beginners are welcome) and the classic staple Quesadilla. I want to share beyond the recipe so I will also be sharing research that didn't make it into the final pages of my cookbook.
The Experience:
The Master Quesadilla: We will demystify this iconic pan dulce discussing regional technicalities, cheese ratios, and why Salvadoran Quesadilla is all about cheese but I would not call it a cheesecake.
No-Churn Café con Leche Ice Cream: Quesadilla goes with coffee. Coffee goes with quesadilla. In this class, we are mixing it up by pairing this pan dulce with a velvety, espresso-infused ice cream without any specialized equipment. The result perfectly complements a warm piece of Quesadilla.
The Lecture: While our Quesadillas bake, I will feature research all about this pand dulce so that you know how to make it and why it’s special.
